- Eagles- Reigning Super Bowl Champs will be number 1 at least until they lose or week 5. The season opener against the Cowboys was uneventful and just felt like the Eagles had control of the game, even with the defense struggling mightily.
- Bills- Winner of the most exciting opening game at least in the past 10 years. Josh Allen is an electric quarterback, and defense seems good enough to get stops when needed.
- Packers- Maybe the most impressive result of the weekend. The offense looked really good, and yet somehow the story of this game was how impressive their defense played and Parson’s is going to make them better throughout the year.
- Commanders- Another team that won a game in not a very exciting fashion, but still had total control of the game. Defense may be improved (it was the Giants). Will be an interesting Thursday match up against the Packers.
- Chargers- A game that kind of went overlooked with being played on Friday. Herbert is a good quarterback and their run game is going to win them games.
- Ravens- Losing that game was unacceptable and even though it was only week 1, this could be one that affects the season. They still have very talented players and need to figure it out.
- Chiefs- Even with a loss they still have the best quarterback in the clutch. This week’s matchup against the Eagles becomes just a little more important with not wanting to start 0-2.
- Colts- The surprise of the weekend, and if we are just going based off of week 1 performances they would be top 3.
- Rams- Another game that kind of got overlooked, but their defense looked really good, and their offense should make enough plays.
- Buccaneers- Very entertaining week 1 game, if the Falcons are good this is a good win, if they’re not this is not a good performance.
- Vikings- If this was based off of only the last 15 minutes they would be top 5. JJ clearly struggled, but figured it out, and Flores’ defense is always going to be good and keep you in it.
- Steelers- Aaron Rodgers had himself a day, defense struggled a bit, and it looks like another 9-8 season for Tomlin
- Lions- Probably not as bad as game one showed, but it definitely looked like they took a step back and in a competitive division it could be a problem.
- Broncos- A good team that is probably a little disappointed in this result, but they should be able to put it together.
- 49ers- A game that was just not very exciting until the final two minutes, but they were able to win. 1-0
- Raiders- Going on the road and getting a W. Geno Smith played well, and they were like a frisky team that could be around 500.
- Jaguars- Beat up on the Panthers, but does that really say much. Liam Cohen can keep this offense going; they will be a threat in the south.
- Cowboys- Dak looked good, but you can tell their team is not on the same talent level as the Eagles. We will see how much the Parsons trade is going to impact them coming up.
- Bengals- Week 1 showed why they were not a playoff team last year. Luckily for them they were playing the Browns.
- Cardinals- The last team on this list to win. They played the Saints but they looked like they may be able to hang around in most games.
- Jets- Justin Fields seemed much improved, and they can definitely hang around with some teams. Although I do not think the Steelers are that good.
- Falcons- They had a chance to win this game, but just were unable. If the Buccaneers are good then maybe the Falcons are good, plus they play in the south so can pick up wins there.
- Texans- One of the more surprising results of this slate. Even against a good defense the Texans should be putting up more than 9 points. Can easily move up with a couple good performances.
- Seahawks- They did not really gain much by getting Sam Darnold. The Niners kept them in this and gave them a shot for the win and they were still unable.
- Browns- That defense looks really good, especially going against a good offense. The offense made mistakes with drops leading to interceptions, and a missed 36 yarder to win.
- Titans- A team that clearly does not have top end talent, but Cam Ward looked good and they can improve throughout the season.
- Bears- Caleb Williams is not the guy. Ben Johnson was outcoached and they are just not a good football team.
- Patriots- Another team that surprised me with a disappointing performance. Thought they would play better. The weather could have played a factor, but I do not like Drake Maye.
- Giants- Is it too early for Dart. Probably, but if this offense struggles this much they are going to have the worst year in a long time.
- Panthers- That was an ugly week 1. Still a lot of young pieces, especially on the offense, could be a completely different team come later in the season.
- Saints- Clearly not a very good team. Saints fans start making the mock drafts.
- Dolphins- They sucked.
